Week Three Photoshop Exercise - Layers

Experimentation with Layers, Effects and Tools

- A cut out image

- Shadow
- Background

The cut out image of the model was to be cut out with a pen tool, but I arrived late to class and had no idea what to do. I proceeded to use the lasoo tool to be able to complete the other exercises in class.

All four layers were switched around through order in which they appear, that is sending either one back, one forward etcetera.

The image (top left) is composed with the background, followed the the image of the model, a shadow, with the text as the front layer.

The second image had both the shadow and the text above the background, but behind the cut out of the model.

In the third image (top right), the model cut out's edges have been blurred into the background with a 'opaque eraser' tool, and various effects have been applied. A gradient has been formed on the background also.

UTS

Third week of fashion and textiles design already. I never initially knew what to expect so I was neither let down nor too surprised. So far nothing seems too dramatic or hard. Design thinking isn't as bad as i first thought and my circles in constructions shouldn't get much more wonky than they already are. Though, illustration takes way too much time to complete !

We'll see what happens :)
